  1. I know some of these are no longer in effect. As a Pennsylvania resident, I have purchased beer and liquor without my wife’s consent – written or otherwise.However, it IS true that only the state-owned stores can sell liquor to retail customers. Also, only the state can transport alcohol across the border for retail sales. I can’t order wine online, for example – I must have the state order it for me.OK, I’d better stop now before I start ranting.
